Next Chapter Legacy Collective was created with a simple belief: everyone deserves connection, support, and the opportunity to build a meaningful next chapter.
Our story
Legacy is still being written.
While our work began in Orange County, our vision extends beyond county lines. NCLC serves communities throughout Southern California, with Los Angeles and Orange counties as our initial priority regions. As partnerships, resources, and community needs evolve, our programs are designed to expand into surrounding communities throughout the region.
NCLC was founded to close the human gaps traditional systems can leave behind. Our site-centered approach brings programs into participating senior communities and accessible community settings, making connection and practical assistance easier to reach while honoring each person's dignity, independence, and continuing legacy.

Founder's story
This work is rooted in a family legacy.
Next Chapter Legacy Collective carries forward the legacy that shaped founder R. Wooley. His granny, Hester A. Cannon, was a pillar of her Hammond, Indiana community and served as Treasurer of the Laura Austin Passmore Guild Federated Club, where community involvement and educational opportunity were put into action. His mother built her career around social work, juvenile justice, and advocacy for young people and families—modeling humanity, service, and the power of second chances.
That foundation shaped a progressive professional path spanning healthcare enrollment, consumer finance, banking, customer advocacy, real estate operations, and affordable housing leadership. Across every field, he saw how difficult systems can become more humane when people are met with clarity, dignity, and genuine connection.
Working directly within affordable senior communities made the need impossible to overlook. Many older adults live on fixed incomes that are largely consumed by housing, while food, transportation, technology, wellness, and social connection remain out of reach. NCLC became the next chapter of that family legacy—built on the belief that stable housing matters, but so does feeling remembered, valued, and able to keep contributing.

G. Turnbull brings experience in senior housing, wellness, volunteer service, and organizational operations. Through work in a 55+ affordable housing community, G. Turnbull has seen firsthand how access to resources, responsive support, and meaningful connection shape older adults’ quality of life. This background has strengthened skills in advocacy, relationship-building, problem-solving, and connecting people with resources. At NCLC, G. Turnbull helps cultivate thoughtful partnerships and programs that keep older adults informed, connected, empowered, and engaged throughout every chapter of life.
